Heroes Arts Foundation (HA Foundation) is the Non-Governmental Organization in Kahama Town Council, Shinyanga region-Tanzania established in 2016, to firmly and solemnly resolve and empower the marginalized groups by formulation of innovative solutions and the way of responding to the HIV/AIDs crisis, advocate for provision of affordable quality health care services as described on “client Service Charter” by the Ministry of health. It also informs their rights to health care utilization and other services, share common interest and experience while building condusive environment for prevention care and support.

Heroes Arts Foundation (HA Foundation) lays the platform for transforming the community livelihood by coordinating efforts, creativity and comprehensive approach to improve the quality of health and life of marginalized groups and facilitate sustainable behavioral change in the community

HA Foundation is managed by independent non-partisan indigenous professionals whom have been experiencing practically & technically on various fields of capacity buildings of humanitarian sectors and community development projects as they have had special trainings (TOTs) to the sectors of humanitarian interventions, Human rights, child protection and capacity building programs.


Legal Status:

Heroes Arts Foundation (HA Foundation) is legally registered as a Non-Government, non profit, non political and non denominations, but a voluntary foundation which is devoted to carry out its aims and objectives accordingly. The Foundation is registered to carry out its activities in Tanzania Mainland with registration No. 00NGO/0008863.

As indigenous professionals on humanitarian sectors and capacity buildings, we felt that there is an argent need to do interventions with the ability to access the grass roots and act as a bridge between the vulnerable and desperate local communities in Tanzania and the UN agencies, International organizations, well wishers and charities that are willing to help the vulnerable communities. This is the philosophy behind the establishment of HA Foundation.

To empower the ability of marginalized and vulnerable groups in the community we are serving by coordinating their efforts and potentials in a comprehensive approach to improve their quality of health and life through facilitating sustainable behavioral change in the community

  1. Voluntarism and volunteerism

HA staff operates and is guided by the spirit of volunteering by ensuring that it undertake its responsibilities willingly and with dedication not necessarily working for payments but working while believing more on the value of the work rather than the amount of money or material benefit that one gains.

2.  Advocate for the social rights of education, health services and economic opportunities to orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC), Youth, Women, Widows, Disabled people and people living with HIV/AIDS in collaboration with other legal service providers.

3.      Advocate for reduction of infants and maternal mortality rates.

4.      To empower the marginalized groups in income generation and self-employment in their strategies to eradicate poverty among communities.

5.      To advocate issues of food sufficiency and food security to overcoming infant and Child malnutrition.

6.      To promote gender equality and empowerment of Children, Youth and Disabled people in all social-economic issues of equal opportunities to employment, health facilities and services, decision making, education and access to Primary Health Care.

HA Foundation is committed to reduced incidences of human right violation among the population of jurisdiction areas

HA Foundation shall thoroughly strengthen its internal capacity for smooth operation and sustainability

HA Foundation has defined structure including Annual General Meeting, Board of Directors and Executive Committee.

        -The structure determines chain of command and hierarchy of responsibility within HA Foundation

         

        -The Annual General Meeting is the highest decision making organ approving   policies and reviewing achievement and plans

         

        -The Board of directors (B.O.D.) is the planning and policy making body of the organization which controlling and approving the all activities by the Executive Committee.

         

    -The Executive Director is the head of executive committee that is responsible for the implementation of the programs and daily management activities.

The professional staff of Management whom periodically review their activities to appraise and provide them with human resource development trainings on the job trainings and technical assistance to undertake systematically their duties and responsibilities.
